001 - Letters from Bombay

Welcome to Bombay Daak. My name is Maneesh Madambath.

Today is the 17th of June, 2020. 12 years to the day I started my first company. Since then, I bounced around making many products and offering many services. Then last year, around this same time, I quit work. I have been on a sabbatical of sorts after that, and have enjoyed the perks of it fully. I took up a serious study of creative work, especially writing and literature. I went back, literally to the drawing board with a long time hobby of mine - painting and sketching. In the process, I got to enhance my world view, broaden my horizons so to speak.

Currently I am interested very much in the idea of making stories more than other things. And in this process I am reading a lot more of them, of all varieties, than I have previously done. I’m talking about books, short stories, poems, Twitter threads even. Stories and snippets from around the world that I come across sitting at home in Bombay. Make sense of them, sometimes just feel them, and on occasions write them.
